Which Program Should I Choose?

2023 Grantmaking and New Programs: Which Program Should I Choose?

Beginning this year, you will have the option of selecting one of five Programs into which to submit your LOI.

All submissions to MCHF should serve at least one of our eight Priority Populations.

The four issue-based Programs; (Access to Healthcare, Healthcare Workforce, Mental & Behavioral Health, Basic Needs); represent the primary framework for our grantmaking. If your project is related to one of these four Programs (see here for descriptions), please apply into the appropriate Program. If it is related to more than one of these four Programs, please apply into the Program that you think represents the best fit.

If you wish to apply for a project that serves one of the eight Priority Populations but does NOT relate to one of the four issue-based Programs, please apply into the General Fund.

Examples:

My project will serve Older Adults by improving access to care through transportation services. Should I apply into Access to Healthcare or the General Fund?

My project will provide food and benefits enrollment to Immigrants and refugees. Should I apply into the General Fund or Basic Needs Program?

My project will expand capacity for mental health services by providing additional training for mental health providers. Should I apply into Access to Healthcare, Healthcare Workforce, Mental & Behavioral Health, or the General Fund?

My project serves Veterans but does not seem to fit into any of the four issue-based Programs. Can I still apply?

My project supports after school activities for low income middle school students. I don’t see a Program that funds educational activities like this. Can I still apply?
