Continuing Mother Cabrini’s legacy of service to New York’s most vulnerable has never been more vital.
At the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, we saw evidence of this first-hand in 2020. The incredible work accomplished by our grantee partners during the COVID-19 emergency has benefitted countless thousands across New York State in ways both tangible (food, housing, work and life skills, employment, PPE, and medical and dental care) and intangible (comfort and hope).
This was our first year of grant-giving, and when we set up our first website our purpose was to be informational about our new Foundation, and to be open about our grant-making process.
Now, as we prepare to announce our 2021 grants, we’re expanding the focus of this site. More than providing operational transparency, we want to shine a light on our grantee partners.
We’ve remodeled our virtual home, with an eye toward more story-telling about the great work being done in service to low-income individuals and families; older adults; immigrants and migrant workers; formerly incarcerated individuals; persons with special needs; veterans; young children, pregnant women and new moms; and youth and young adults.
These are the underserved communities that Mother Cabrini herself devoted her life to serving. Her legacy lives on through the charitable activities, programs, and initiatives our Foundation proudly supports.
