Community Service Society: Keep New York Covered Program

6 Million New Yorkers Must Take Action to Renew Their Health Insurance

Changes are coming for Medicaid, Child Health Plus and Essential Plan enrollees as New York State restarts recertification rules to ensure enrollees still qualify for these programs. Although no one in New York will be disenrolled just yet, approximately 6 million New Yorkers still need to take action to renew their health insurance by July 1, 2023.

The Foundation is part of a collaborative of organizations supporting the Keep New York Covered (KNYC) program, an outreach effort to inform New Yorkers and help maintain their coverage. KNYC is led by grantee Community Service Society (CSS), which has worked to promote economic opportunity and champion an equitable city and state since 1843. CSS has assembled a network of organizations with dedicated funding to conduct outreach in their local communities, and to assist New Yorkers in renewing and ensuring appropriate updates are made to their New York State of Health applications.
