Announcing Our Community Healthcare Conversations Series

MCHF Community Healthcare Conversations: Western New York

Building Healthier Communities in Western NY in the COVID-19 Era

Our work to improve the health and well-being of New Yorkers begins in the communities we serve. In an effort to learn from and support each other in this mission, we are hosting the first in a series of Community Healthcare Conversations.

We invite you to join us and local healthcare leaders at noon ET on Wednesday, June 30, for this free, one-hour event. We are launching this series—using a virtual format to start—with a focus on what the future holds for Western New York communities. We plan to convene more conversations focused on other areas of the state in the coming months.

An interactive discussion on “Building Healthier Communities in Western NY in the COVID-19 Era” will be led by Rick Barnes, Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s Community Relations Director for upstate New York’s 44 counties. Our special guest will be Clotilde Perez-Bode Dedecker, President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. This event will also feature leaders from two Mother Cabrini Health Foundation grantees as guest panelists: Dr. Myron Glick, Founder and CEO of Jericho Road Community Health Center, and Allison DeHonney, CEO and Founder of Buffalo Go Green.
